CMT Reveals Week Of Original Programming Leading Up To 2023 CMT Music Awards | News

CMT revealed plans for a week-long programming celebration on the network during CMT MUSIC AWARDS WEEK set for Monday, March 27 – Sunday, April 2.

The week includes the debut of a brand-new series “CMT Defining,” in celebration of the 10th anniversary of “CMT Next Women of Country,” and features two-time CMT MUSIC AWARDS nominee Carly Pearce. In addition, there are two all-new “CMT Storytellers” that spotlight CMT MUSIC AWARDS co-host Kane Brown and superstar Dierks Bentley.

Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini will host the 2023 CMT MUSIC AWARDS that will air from Austin, Texas’ Moody Center (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT)  Sunday, April 2 on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+  .

The CMT MUSIC AWARDS will return to CMT following its inaugural broadcast on CBS with the “CMT Music Awards Extended Cut,” featuring 30 extra minutes of bonus content and never-before-seen performances on Thursday, April 6 at 8p/7c.

Programming set for CMT MUSIC AWARDS WEEK (March 27 – Sunday, April 2) includes:

  • “CMT MUSIC AWARDS NOMINEE SPECIAL” – Monday, March 27 at 10p/9c

CMT’S Cody Alan and Carissa Culiner host “CMT Music Awards Nominee Special” – a half-hour celebration featuring the star-packed list of CMT MUSIC AWARDS nominees. Superstar nominees LAINEY WILSON and CODY JOHNSON reflect on their nominated videos, along with BLAKE SHELTON and CMT MUSIC AWARDS co-hosts, KANE BROWN and KELSEA BALLERINI! Plus, tune in for a special performance from CHAPEL HART featuring ZZ Top’s BILLY GIBBONS!
